Júnior and Jaci Rodrigues
Serving in Colombia on Global Deployment | South America
Rev. Junior and Rev. Jacilene Rodrigues serve along with their two daughters, Hadassa and Ágatha. Both Junior and Jacilene graduated from Nazarene Theological Seminary in Brazil with a Batchelor’s in Theology and later earned a specialization in missions.
“We are Brazilians and we feel a call from God to serve in missions. We have served in Argentina since 2013 where we have pastored a church in the City of Formosa, planted another church in Córdoba and have coordinated the planting of 4 more churches in Ecuador; Venezuela; Salta, Argentina; and also Anápoles, Brazil. Throughout this process we have had the privilege of meeting, training, sending, and mentoring pastoral families and young people, Americans and Argentineans, as they fulfill the Great Commission.”
They are currently assigned as missionaries of the Church of the Nazarene in Colombia with the goal of planting a new church, developing a new district, coordinating the mobilization of missionary candidates into missionary service, providing training, and sending them out to plant new churches in the North Andean Field which is comprised of 3 countries: Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela.

"Somos brasileiros e nos sentimos chamados por Deus para servir em missões no país da Argentina desde 2013, onde pastoreamos uma igreja na cidade de Formosa, plantamos uma outra igreja em Córdoba e coordenamos a plantação de mais 4 igrejas em diferentes países, tais como: Equador, Venezuela, na cidade de Salta na Argentina, também plantamos uma igreja em Anápoles, Brasil. Neste processo tivemos o privilegio de encontrar, treinar, enviar e mentorear famílias pastorais e jovens (americanos e argentinos) para cumprirem a grande comissão."
Atualmente designados como missionários da Igreja do Nazareno para o país da Colômbia, com objetivo de Plantar uma nova Igreja, desenvolver um novo distrito e coordenar a mobilização de novos vocacionados ao ministério missionário, prover o treinamento e envio para a plantação de novas igrejas no Andino Norte, que corresponde a 3 países: Colômbia, Equador e Venezuela.
Going Where the Church is Not Yet
Today there are over 4.3 billion people who live in areas where there is little to no gospel witness. 4.3 billion people who have not heard the message of the gospel, who have never heard the name of Jesus. We believe that everyone deserves to hear. God continues to call the Church of the Nazarene to spread the message of the gospel, to preach holiness, and to bring good news to the poor all over the world. The task is enormous; far too big for anyone to do alone, but together we can go where the church is not yet and see people, communities, and nations transformed. Reaching these people begins with one step, a step of obedience and faithfulness that says yes to God’s call. Take your first step and start your journey toward serving in missions today.
