Theresa and Stephen Gualberto

Serving in Philippines on Global Deployment | Asia-Pacific

Stephen and Theresa Gualberto serve the Church of the Nazarene in the Philippines and Micronesia Field.  Stephen serves as Field Strategy Coordinator for both fields, and Theresa serves as Field Office Manager and helps with Child Sponsorship.

Stephen and Theresa are graduates of Philippine Nazarene College (formerly known as Luzon Nazarene Bible College).  Stephen finished Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Bachelor of Science in Religious Education.  Theresa finished Bachelor of Science in Religious Education.  Both of them took their Master of Arts in Education majoring in Administration and Supervision from Philippine Christian University.

Prior to Stephen's current assignment, he served as Program Development Coordinator for Nazarene Compassionate Ministries at the Global Ministry Center.  His other work and ministry experiences include serving as a house parent in a Rescue Home for Street Boys in the Philippines.  Regional Child Development Coordinator, and then Regional NCM Coordinator in Asia-Pacific Region.  While serving as coordinator for the region he was also serving as pastor in his home church, GMA Church of the Nazarene in the Philippines.  Theresa worked as a Head Teacher in a Kindergarten school.  

Stephen and Theresa have a 20-year old daughter.  Her name is Hadassah but she loves to be called Dash.  She is in college taking Communications degree. She loves photography, reading books and listening to music.  She also enjoys fashion styling and interior designing.  Dash has a first degree black belt in Taekwondo. 

The Gualbertos are members of Southern Tagalog District Church of the Nazarene.

Going Where the Church is Not Yet

Today there are over 4.3 billion people who live in areas where there is little to no gospel witness. 4.3 billion people who have not heard the message of the gospel, who have never heard the name of Jesus. We believe that everyone deserves to hear. God continues to call the Church of the Nazarene to spread the message of the gospel, to preach holiness, and to bring good news to the poor all over the world. The task is enormous; far too big for anyone to do alone, but together we can go where the church is not yet and see people, communities, and nations transformed. Reaching these people begins with one step, a step of obedience and faithfulness that says yes to God’s call. Take your first step and start your journey toward serving in missions today.
